Thermoplastic Fusion

  • This class has no prerequisites and no cost.
  • Minimum of 6 students and a maximum of 10 students per class
  • This course will be approximately 24 hours (6 nights, 4 hours per class)
  • The final class will include UA certification testing for each student to become certified plastic fusion operators for 1" - 8" HDPE Electro Fusion and .5" - 48" polyethylene Butt Fusion.

This course offers comprehensive coverage of the theory, practical applications, and methodologies involved in heat fusion techniques for both polyethylene (PE) pipe and fittings, as well as polypropylene(PP) pipe and fittings. Participants will engage in hands-on activities, focusing on mastering the correct fusion procedures for joining PE and PP pipes. Fusion types covered include butt fusion, socket fusion, o-lets, saddle fusion and Electro fusion. 

Proper shop attire and full class attendance are mandatory.
